City Captain — World Cup Activation

Tekkers is on a mission to finally give the soccer ecosystem the digital home it deserves. We have a grand vision on how to tackle this, but are tapping away at it one step at a time. We have an app that personalizes the soccer content experience to every fan, and are now introducing our UGC capabilities to make the experience more complete and allow for everyone to be a part of Football History.

The Future Football Entrepreneurs Program is a paid seasonal opportunity for passionate football fans who want to help bring people together during the biggest sporting event on Earth.

As a Tekkers City Captain, you'll be part content creator, part community builder, part event host, and part football culture ambassador. Your role is to help create high-energy fan experiences, capture the stories of supporters, promote Tekkers campaigns and merch, and bring local football communities together around watch parties, creator challenges, and live activations.

This role is ideal for someone who loves football, loves people, and wants hands-on experience in startups, sports marketing, content creation, community building, brand partnerships, and live event activation.

• Create short-form content at watch parties, bars, fan events, and community gatherings
• Interview fans and capture authentic matchday reactions
• Help fans discover and use the Tekkers app
• Support watch party activations with local venues and partners
• Encourage fans to participate in Tekkers challenges, predictions, rewards, and community experiences
• Collect feedback from users and fans to help improve the product
• Help promote Tekkers merch, creator drops, and campaign-related products during events and through approved content
• Support merch sales by educating fans on the story behind the products, campaigns, and football culture they represent
• Create content that may help drive merch sales, sponsor engagement, app signups, watch party participation, or other Tekkers campaign goals
• Identify potential local sponsors, venue partners, and community partners that align with Tekkers' mission
• Help connect interested businesses or sponsors with the Tekkers team for follow-up
• Bring energy, hospitality, and cultural awareness to every event
• Help create a welcoming environment for fans from different countries, backgrounds, and football communities

• 21+ and able to enter bars, nightlife venues, and event spaces
• A passionate football/soccer fan
• Comfortable talking intelligently about the game with fans
• Charismatic, outgoing, and energized by meeting new people
• Comfortable being on camera and interviewing others
• Excited about creating content for social platforms
• Able to work in loud, crowded, fast-moving environments
• Comfortable being on your feet during events
• Responsible, reliable, and professional when representing a brand
• Interested in startups, sports, media, marketing, community, sales, or entrepreneurship

• Experience creating TikToks, Reels, Shorts, or other social content
• Existing involvement in football communities, fan clubs, schools, bars, leagues, or creator circles
• Bilingual or multilingual ability
• Experience with events, hospitality, street teams, campus ambassador programs, sales, or sports marketing
• Local knowledge of your city's football scene

City Captains are paid for approved scheduled work. Compensation includes:

• Hourly base pay: the greater of $10/hour or the applicable local minimum wage
• Tekkers merch and gear
• Eligibility for performance bonuses, affiliate bonuses, and/or commissions tied to approved outcomes

Qualifying outcomes may include:

• Verified app referrals
• Event RSVPs or check-ins
• Approved content performance
• Merch revenue generated through tracked links, referral codes, or approved content
• Sponsor or venue leads accepted by Tekkers
• Sponsor revenue generated through approved introductions, campaigns, or content

Performance bonuses, affiliate bonuses, and commissions are additional upside and do not replace hourly pay. Bonus eligibility, tracking rules, payout timing, and qualifying revenue will be defined by Tekkers for each campaign or activation. City Captains may only promote merch, sponsors, offers, or affiliate campaigns using approved Tekkers materials, links, codes, and messaging. Any sponsored or affiliate-related content must include appropriate disclosure where required.

This program is designed to help you build real experience, relationships, and career momentum. Participants may receive:

• Monthly mentorship for 1 year after the World Cup from the CEO and/or CTO — depending on your career path
• Recommendation letters for future employers
• Guidance on startups, fundraising, product, marketing, sales, content, and entrepreneurship
• Introductions to startups, founders, and operators where appropriate
• Future paid opportunities with Tekkers
• Potential introductions to investors or VCs when relevant to your own future startup journey
• Portfolio-building experience in sports, content, community, brand partnerships, and live activations
• Opportunity to earn additional upside through tracked merch sales, sponsor leads, affiliate referrals, and campaign performance

This is a seasonal, event-based role tied to World Cup activations. Hours may vary by city, match schedule, venue partnerships, and campaign needs. City Captains should expect some evening and weekend availability during major matchdays and watch party events.
